It’s that time of year again.  Time to think about placement decisions for next year.   By this point if a child has been struggling in school there should have already been some indications that a grade retention was being considered.   Grade retention is a very difficult decision for parents to face and prior to making a decision they will need adequate time to research the issue and consider how it may impact their child.  This article on GreatSchools.com sums up the retention issue rather nicely.
